We’ve got over 20 years’ experience in fostering and leaving-care services for young people. By creating I2gether, we aim to offer an approach to supporting vulnerable young adults that’s fresh, wide-ranging and will provide positive, practical outcomes.
Our work as a Community Interest Company is to give these young people access to the kinds of extra curricular activities they would not normally have.
While we have a firm focus on supported living and mentoring for young adults, we also believe that their development depends on opening more opportunities to engage with the world up to them. A chance to shine and nurture personal talents.
To this end, I2gether organises intensive outdoor adventure courses, personal development opportunities and other activities involving our young adults.
Experience is what enables people to grow, to help them build meaningful relationships with others and to understand how the world works with them in it.
Another aspect to this is looking at what individuals need to help them develop, including interests they have, which we can then support, with the help of local businesses, philanthropists and others.
We want to put young adults on the pathway to an independent future.
